Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the GridPlayer macOS application (the "App"), operated by Görkem Güclü ("we," "us").

By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, strictly do not use the App.

1. Scope of License

The App is licensed to you, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, strictly in accordance with these Terms and the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

2. Privacy & Local Data

Your privacy is paramount. The App processes your video files locally on your device. We do not claim ownership of the content you view, nor do we assume any liability for the video files you choose to open with the App. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to view the content you load into the App.

3. Subscriptions (GridPlayer Pro)

  • Purchase: The App offers an optional "Pro" subscription via Apple In-App Purchase to unlock unlimited grid views.
  • Free Trial: We may offer a free trial for certain subscriptions. If you sign up for a free trial, you will not be charged until the trial period expires.
  • Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Automatic Renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Management: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Mac App Store Account Settings.
  • Provider: We use RevenueCat to validate and manage your subscription status.

4. Refunds & Right of Withdrawal

Since the App is purchased through the Apple App Store, all refund requests and rights of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) are governed by Apple’s Terms and Conditions. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or that it will support every video file format perfectly.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law (including German law), we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., data loss or computer malfunction) arising from your use of the App. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

7. Changes to Terms

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflicts of law rules.
