Welcome to UMass BusTrack! Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the UMass BusTrack mobile application (the "App").

By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of the Service

UMass BusTrack is an independent third-party application designed to display transit information.

  • Source of Data: The App retrieves public transit data from sources including the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) and UMass Transit Services.
  • No Affiliation: UMass BusTrack is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the University of Massachusetts Amherst or the PVTA.

2. Accuracy of Information

We strive to provide accurate information, but transit data is dynamic.

  • No Guarantee: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of bus locations or schedules.
  • Use at Your Own Risk: You agree that you rely on the App's data at your sole risk.

3. User Conduct & License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to reverse engineer the App or use it for illegal purposes.

4. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding third-party transit data) remain the property of Görkem Güclü.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Görkem Güclü shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including missed trips or delays) arising from your use of the App. The App is provided "AS IS."

6. Advertisements

The App may display advertisements from third parties (e.g., via Google AdMob). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or opinions expressed in such advertisements, nor for the products or services offered by third-party advertisers. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the third party.

7. External Links

The App contains links to third-party websites not controlled by us. We assume no responsibility for their content or practices.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
